Finish-line accuracy starts hours earlier, when thousands of tags are stuck onto bibs by volunteers. This one keeps that step foolproof: peel, stick, race. Underneath, the engineering is deliberate — a GF01 antenna measuring 94×24 mm drives an NXP UCODE 9 chip, with reads reaching 10 meters depending on the reader.
The structure sandwiches more than 2 mm of foam between a waterproof white PET face and the release liner. That thickness lifts the inlay off the runner’s body — the main source of interference in on-body UHF — and improves water resistance for rain-soaked events. The tag follows ISO/IEC 18000-6C / EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2 and stores a 96-bit EPC with 48-bit TID; UCODE 8 builds are available where preferred.
