Metal reflects and detunes UHF signals, which is why ordinary labels go quiet the moment they touch a server chassis or steel pipe. This flexible on-metal label is engineered against that failure: a 1 mm thin, bendable 65×35 mm construction that conforms to curved surfaces — pipes, cylinders, equipment shells — while still reading up to 7 meters on metal.
The Impinj M830 chip provides a 128-bit EPC over ISO/IEC 18000-6C / EPCglobal Class 1 Gen 2 across 860–960 MHz, and can be rewritten around 10,000 times as assets change hands. The PET face accepts text, barcodes, QR codes and color printing on common industrial printers such as the SATO CL4NX and Zebra ZT410 Silverline; batches pass 100% Voyantic conformance testing, and operation is rated from -40 to 85 °C.
