Printed circuit board substrate is an old trick for hard-wearing RFID: FR4 is rigid, dimensionally stable and indifferent to heat and chemicals. Here it forms a 70×20 mm anti-metal tag only 3 mm thick (excluding the chip bump), light at 10.5 g, finished in black with custom colors possible.
Mounted by adhesive or screws on machinery, racking or steel containers, the tag’s Impinj M781 chip returns reads from up to 6 meters on metal at 902–928 MHz with a fixed reader (2 W ERP). It rewrites through 100,000 cycles, holds a 128-bit EPC plus 512-bit user memory, and clears 100% Voyantic consistency testing. Sealing is IP68; operation spans -20 to 100 °C with storage tolerance to 150 °C.
